New Yarn Room NOW OPEN

The Uralla Wool Room is very excited to announce the opening of our new and expanded ‘Yarn Room’.  We now stock an extensive range of yarns from Australian Country Spinners and unique hand-dyed yarns from the Mollydale Knits range.  We offer super fine merino luxury to broader micron wools ideal for homeware and rug making.  We are also building our stock of hooks, needles and accessories.

The idea behind the expansion was to create a space where inspiration and creativity can flow, and where people can gather to share their passion for the hand-made. We hope to form a regular group of "Yarnaholics" and take part in community and charity projects.

Sue Singleton, self confessed fibre fanatic and purveyor of all things crochet and Annie Rumble, who has an amazing eye for colour and is master of the knitted stitch, have joined the team at the Uralla Wool Room.  Sue and Annie bring their bountiful enthusiasm (read obsession) for all things hand-made and offer classes in crochet and knitting.  Everyone is welcome from the novice to the experienced in both crochet and knitting.

At the moment, classes are held every Saturday afternoon from 1.00 pm to 3.00 pm.  We hold crochet lessons on the first and third Saturdays, with knitting classes on the second and fourth Saturdays each month.  Cost is $5.00 and includes afternoon tea. Contact the shop on 6778 4226 for more details or to leave your contact details.
